What Is the Certification Process?

After undergoing 18 months of comprehensive on-the-job training, our apprentices are given the opportunity to further enhance their skills by undergoing FAA testing in Tennessee to obtain their Airframe license.

Following the successful acquisition of the Airframe license, our apprentices continue to progress in their professional journey for an additional 12 to 18 months. During this period, they are sent back to the testing facility in Tennessee to attain their Powerplant license.

Upon fulfilling the requirements of the apprenticeship program, including successful completion of all FAA testing, our apprentices proudly graduate as fully licensed A&P professionals.

We believe in recognizing the achievements of our apprentices at significant milestones. Pay increases are granted upon the completion of each license, acknowledging the dedication and expertise they have developed.

While the duration of the program typically spans around 30 to 36 months, we prioritize individual progress and growth throughout the process.

We value the commitment and dedication of our apprentices and aim for them to join our exceptional and expanding maintenance staff. Although we do not enforce contracts, our ultimate objective is for you to become a member of our talented team.

“I can’t say enough good things about Freight Runners Express. The potential growth for the individual pilot and the company itself is exponential. I spent 3.5 years there starting as BE-99 first officer and ending as EMB120 captain. I had so much fun with the variety of operations and built a solid foundation for my career. Without delay I was flying a B767 internationally. I miss the people and the flying, but so thankful for the opportunities FRE/ACE afforded me.”
